Analysis of Granules

Our granule supplier is located in Taiwan. They process individual Chinese raw herbs into individual granules as well as processing traditional herbal fomulas into granules by means of decoction. The raw materials come from China from contracted suppliers. The whole granules manufacturing process is subject to GMP standards; compliance with the relevant standards is regularly checked by a Swiss inspection team. TCM granules are classified as medicinal products in Switzerland, therefore they undergo a rigorous approval process. This means that we are strictly controlled and monitored by the Swissmedic treatment center for compliance with PIC-GMP guidelines - covering everything from the granule manufacturers to our own internal procedures. After importing the granules with a certificate of analysis that demonstrates the identity and purity according to the European and / or Chinese pharmacopoeia, each batch is identity checked and assessed by our qualified laboratory team organoleptically and with the aid of reference batches using HPTLC and / or chemical analysis . The purity analysis is verified and supplemented by a GMP-certified European analytical laboratory. Only granules which fulfill all the specific test criteria are released.
